Through the clean and salty air

I ride my horse

With the wind behind me

and the soothing sand on my horse’s hooves

I ride on.

The sound of the vast ocean,

the freedom in my hair;

the spell beneath my legs

as I race my beloved friend

across the smooth and rippling sand –

mirror image of

my life and love

I ride on with the warmth of sun and cadana casino salt air

no cares and worries face me

travelling any where my horse takes me-

joy in my heart beat and hand.

I ride on

faster, free spirited on the forever sand.

Elegant space of limb and grace

Rhythmic poise and promise

with tunes so timeless ever flowing

the dances begin their warm up –

stretching, bending, twirling,

muscles moving like a shimmering moon

movement fast ; a spectacle of swaying and emotion

mysterious, joyful and surrendered.

The music. The dancers, the music

the ache and echo of one dancer

communicating her love.

Pink is so sweet the colour of my slippers
Golden honey hair on my Barbie
Milky white and perfect skin
Red the richness of a gem
Azure blue the depth of ocean deep
Lush green strands of knitted wool
Chocolate the flavour of ice cream
Black the darkest cave within

This is my wish for you daughter dear
a life of happiness but not without a tear
Courage to face the hard road ahead
A chance to find love and maybe wed
a special friend who shares your joy
and one day perhaps a baby boy
times may be rough along the way
